Going towards Germany

Not yet a boygroup although drad good musicians, is the conection of this four boys their common destiny in the next 12 months. Daniel, Lautaro, Rodrigo and Matías are going to be the first Argentinian volunteers that we will oficially send to Germany. Finally and thanks to the compromise of the congregracions in Versmold, Gelsenkirchen and Blaubeuren and the churches of Westfalia, Baden and Württemberg, the program gets indeed an interchange character. Therefore, the last week we did rehearsals: How to greet with a handshake, how to stand puntual trains and rough tones, how to flirt with the Germans and how to pronounce Bad Krotzingen. If the German immigration office allows, real life starts on the 13th of march.

PS Although we were in the first moment very anxious since there was no connections to the family of Marcia who lives close to the epicenter, all her relatives seem to be well and also no other friend seems to be badly effected by the earthquake in Chile.

Ciudad inundada

Während bei euch der Winter nicht aufhören will, haben wir mit Wetterproblemen ganz anderer Art zu kämpfen. In der letzten Woche ist Capital mehrmals von heftigen Regenstürzen heimgesucht worden, gestern ist die Stadt zum dritten Mal überflutet. Der wichtigste Kanal der Stadt, der einmal durch das Zentrum hindurchläuft, wird zur Zeit renoviert und erweitert. Die derzeitigen Wassermassen kann er nicht fassen und von Nord nach Süd zu passieren, wurde unmöglich.
Ich saß 3 Stunden im Buero fest, bevor sich der Strassenverkehr wieder einigermassen normalisiert hatte. Im ersten Bild seht ihr die Strassenecke in Belgrano, an der ich arbeite. Die Nobelviertel (auch das coole Palermo viejo, drittes Bild) waren genauso betroffen wie die Viertel des Mittelstands. Vom armen Grossraum gibt es wie immer kein einziges Bild in den Medien. Für die nächsten Tage erwartet die Stadt weitere Regenfälle. Ich habe mir schonmal meine Badehose angezogen.

Streetart Capital

Another surprise while coming back to casita joliwut: Finally, streetart reached out to the ISEDET. And while Marilyn now constantly reminds me on the beautiful sides of life, I want to give you some impressions on how beautiful and creative streetart can be in Buenos Aires.
