¿Volunteering in Matagalpa?

From July 2008 the Voluntary Peace Service (FFD) offers 4 new places for volunteers in Matagalpa! If you are below 28 and interested in teaching primary students English, German, sports or craftswork in the Escuela Bautista (first 2 pics) or the Escuela Wuppertal (right hand pic) you are very welcome to send your applications now! Additionally you can also work in Escuela Amistad (pics coming soon) where children with and without handicap need your support in the classrooms and while buidling the new mensa of the school. Unfortunately, some excellent volunteers are already found for the up-coming term, but what are you doing from 7/2009 to 7/2010?

Moreover, I sucessfully finished my search for volunteer-places in Matagalpa for which I met a bunch of very friendly and comitted persons who are going to support the volunteers in the next years and of who you can find some in the pics below. From left: Directora Ismara Matamoros Castillo of the Colegio Bautista, Ivanna López Rodriguez and Ínes Lourdes Ponce with activits from the CEPAD programm for integral developement of the family, a teacher of the preescolar-class at the Colegio Bautista, Directora Norma Vitalia López Morraz and Subdirectora Mary Lou Moreno Lumbí of the Escuela Wuppertal.
